FIRE THEATRE SPECTACULAR - outdoor version of The Tempest at the illuminated Greenman Maze combining fire circus, flames and live music. An abridged outdoor version of Shakespeare’s The Tempest performed in and around the illuminated Millennium Greenman Maze at Penpont Estate near Brecon.  

A story told by a company of actors, fools, circus and fire performers with live music from Afro-Celtic dance band Baka Beyond.  

Be led by fire, light and wild spirits on a shared journey through dark enchanted groves, before taking your seat on the very shores of Prospero’s enchanted isle.

Directed by David Goff Eveleigh who also designed and built the Millennium Greenman Maze in 2000.

Shakespeare’s tale of love and reconciliation will be told with dramatic use of fire, illumination and live music in Penpont’s idyllic setting by the Dept. Of Enjoyment.  

Prospero’s Island is the kingdom of Caliban as the Green Man: a domain of wild and untamed Nature.  

David Goff Eveleigh is the founder and Artistic Director of the Dept. Of Enjoyment with a successful 15 year track record of creating fire-theatre events, internationally and here in Wales, including the annual spectacular Hay-on-Fire festivals (www.goffee.co.uk).
